Most of the toll collection systems commonly used in Myanmar are the manual transaction. Today, traffic flows are increasing and the toll gate on the roads are congested. This will cause the traffic jam and will waste time. The goal of this journal is to transform the manual transaction into the automated collection of tolls with the help of RFID technology. There are three portions in the toll collection system. They are RFID system, balance deduction system in host computer and toll gate control system. For the RFID system, passive readers and RFID readers of 13.56 MHz are used. The system of deduction of balances is implemented by Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server as IDE. The C # language is used to implement this system. The PIC microcontroller is also used to control the stepper motor and display the tank on the LCD. The authorized person at the toll gate can check the identification numbers, vehicle numbers and the amount of balance with the database on the PC. The new user can easily register and update the balance amount through the graphical user interface (GUI). The number of deposits will also be updated simultaneously in the two toll gate database due to the LAN network. By using this system, you will save time, ie avoiding the long tail as there is no need to stop the vehicle and there is no need for manual transaction at the toll gate.
