DAM GATE CONTROL BY USING MICROCONTROLLER
ABSTRACT:
The concept of project is to measure the water level using ultrasonic reflections sensors. Acoording to the level the dam gate may be controlled using geared DC motor with H-bridge , 4-quadrant operation.
The gate may be open or close with the help of DC motor, the DC motor is rotated in two directions with the help of 4 mosfets , H-bridge network. The H-bridge ultrasonic sensors LCD, is attached to the popular microcontroller AT89C52 (MCS51 series) . The program written in microcontroller activates the ultrasonic transmitter, by giving a pulse subsequently. It recieve the pulse from reciever , the time gap between transmitter and reciever calibrates interms of distance. Initially the gate is closed, untill the gate closing sensor are activated, the microcontroller measure the water height, if the height is above the predetermine level, the gate will be opened with the help of motor rotated in reverse direction. The motor will be rotated untill , the open sensor are activated. We have establish RS232 communication. For transmission of level data to PC for maintaining the database, for feature analysis.
