GREEN COMPUTING
GREEN COMPUTING.doc (Size: 88.5 KB / Downloads: 151) Green computing 1.doc (Size: 131 KB / Downloads: 163) Green Computing2.pptx (Size: 430.54 KB / Downloads: 129) ABSTRACT Green Computing is a recent trend towards designing, building, and operating computer systems to be energy efficient. In the present scenario green is all over the news like green jobs, green products, and green programs. While programs such as Energy Star have been around since the early 1990s, recent concerns regarding global climate change and the energy crisis have led to renewed interest in Green Computing. Green Computing deals with different green computing factor applied to reduce environment hazards and deals with latest invention regarding green computing to reduce the thermal power from the processor. Green computing is essential for using computing resources efficiently. Typically, technological systems or computing products that incorporate green computing principles take into account of economic viability, social responsibility, and environmental impact. A typical green computing solution attempts to address some or all of these factors by implementing environmentally friendly products in an efficient system. Green computing is the environmentally responsible use of computers and related resources. Such practices include the implementation of energy-efficient central processing units (CPUs), servers and peripherals as well as reduced resource consumption and proper disposal of electronic waste (e-waste).The work habits of computer users and businesses can be modified to minimize adverse impact on the global environment. The present scenario in Green Computing is all about making good choices that reduce the wear and tear that our computing practices have on the planet. It represents a variety of ways to reduce your power consumption by changing your practices, upgrading your system, buying green, and how to dispose of old computer equipment in a way that is kind to the planet.¬¬¬

GREEN COMPUTING ABSTRACT
GREEN COMPUTING.docx (Size: 13.35 KB / Downloads: 63) Abstract: Green computing is the study and practice of using computing resources efficiently. The primary objective of such a program is to account for the triple bottom line, an expanded spectrum of values and criteria for measuring organizational (and societal) success. The goals are similar to green chemistry; reduce the use of hazardous materials, maximize energy efficiency during the product's lifetime, and promote recyclability or biodegradability of defunct products and factory waste. Modern IT systems rely upon a complicated mix of people, networks and hardware; as such, a green computing initiative must be systemic in nature, and address increasingly sophisticated problems. Elements of such as solution may comprise items such as end user satisfaction, management restructuring, regulatory compliance, disposal of electronic waste, telecommuting, virtualization of server resources, energy use, thin client solutions, and return on investment (ROI). As 21st century belongs to computers, gizmos and electronic items, energy issues will get a serious ring in the coming days, as the public debate on carbon emissions, global warming and climate change gets hotter. Taking into consideration the popular use of information technology industry, it has to lead a revolution of sorts by turning green in a manner no industry has ever done before.

Green computing abstract Green computing.docx (Size: 12.01 KB / Downloads: 45) ABSTRACT: Green computing is defined as the atudy and practice of designing , manufacturing, using, and disposing of computers, servers, and associated subsystems-such as monitors, printers, storage devices, and networking and communications systems-efficiently and effectively with minimal or no impact on the environment." The goals of green computing are similar to green chemistry; reduce the use of hazardous materials, maximize energy efficiency during the product's lifetime, and promote the recyclability or biodegradability of defunct products and factory waste. Research continues into key areas such as making the use of computers as energy-efficient as possible, and designing algorithms and systems for efficiency-related computer technologies. |
