This document compares between iPhone Operating System (iOS) and other mobile operating systems(os) that are available in the market which is specific on security issue. The security architecture of iOS is comprised of System architecture, Encryption and Data Protection, Network security and Device access. System architecture defines the secure platform and hardware foundations of iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Encryption and Data protection defines the architecture and design that protects the user’s data when the device is lost or stolen, or when an unauthorized person attempts to use or modify it. Network security defines industry-standard networking protocols that provide secure authentication and encryption of data in transmission. Device access defines methods that prevent unauthorized use of the device and enable it to be remotely wiped if lost or stolen. This document also includes the latest security features included by apple in iOS7.Then we have focused on how iOS is more secured as compared to other mobile os. We have focused more on comparison of iOS and android security because android is the biggest rival of iOS.we have also included some charts that proves iOS is more secured mobile os.
