INTRODUCTION:
The report covers the period from 11th February 2011 to 18th February 2011. The visit was held over to Jaislamer, Jaipiur, Ranthambore for 7 nights/ 8 days.
The industrial visit has given us an opportunity to gain practical knowledge about actual working in the industry. The visit was to Jaipur.
Industrial Visit committee was set up who worked on the plan and then gave initial plan to college regarding details of visit.
The following were the industries visited:
• Bajrang wire products (india) pvt. Ltd.
• Jaipur dairy.
DEPART FROM BANDRA TERMINUS
Day 1- 11th feb, 2012
• Our journey started from Bandra Terminus.
• We were made to gather around 12.00 pm, and did catch our train at 1.30 pm along with our seniors (SYMMS) and with some engineering students too.
• We had an overnight journey then.
ARRIVAL AT JODHPUR – JAISALMER
Day 2- 12th feb, 2012
• The continual of journey by train csme to an end on yhe very next day (i.e 12th feb) with an early rise.
• Our train boarded at Jodhpur, at 6.30 am.
• From there, we moved in for Jaisalmer through semi- luxury Bus which organized by owner of our tour.
• Jaisalmer was around 220 kms.
• It was all around 6 hours to reach.
• There we did an halt at Meher Safari Camp at sand dunes.
• It was a tent like structure which is surrounded by the desert like an island from all 4 sides.
• We had our lunch at the same location and proceeded for our traditional welcome in the evening along with a grand snacks with a cup of tea in a very chilled climate.
• Traditional folk dance, songs and even magic hour was arranged for the entire jondhale group.
• It was then holded over with our very thrilled session. Nothing but, “DJ”
• It was full of entertainment
• And so on, our day was ended with various delicacies of jaisalmer.
JAISALMER
Day 3- 13th feb, 2012
• There we started off initially with our breakfast and departed for a visit to jaislamer city.
• The very first location was jaisalmer fort khaba fort.
• Jaisalmer is termed as golden city.
• It dealt with various types of stones which were used in ancient times. Each one was having their own purpose.
• There a bowl of water was kept since a long span of years, which would indicate that, if one puts his /her hand into it, it will not get wet, it will remain dry as it is.
• The most adventurous part of our visit was kauldhara (ghost village).
• It was strictly prohibited to visit the place after 6 pm in the evening, unfortunately we were taken in the afternoon and hence we missed the opportunity to chat with the ghosts.
• Followed by a lunch at the “dhani city restaurant”.
• And then we were given chance to drive a new vehicle (i.e. camel safari) it was amazing and SCARY experience, ending with an overenight stay at the Meher Camp.
JAISALMER TO JAIPUR
Day 4- 14th feb,2012
• Again the day started with our breakfast and headed to a fort.
• The fort discloses the hidden information that it was made of just the bricks (which are golden yellow in clolour) , hence it spreads a yellow shade all over.
• It was a very tall and vast Icon.
• Even small shopping sites were seen inside the fort.
• From the edge of fort, the entire Jaisalmer city was visible in one glance.
• Then we visited to a nearby temple (jain temple) which was blessed with the idol of Buddha.
• It was a minutely carved location.
• The next visit was for patwan ki haveli and salim singh ki havel, followed by lunch at the “Dhani city Restaurant.”
• Then Gadi sar lake was our centre of attraction where we indulged for boating along with our proffesors.
• It was quite an exciting hour.
• From there, we looked forward for our next location, a city termed as ‘ PINK CITY’
• It was an overnight journey by bus.
JAIPUR
Day 5- 15th feb
• Finally we get down at Royal Palazzo (Hotel Jaipur) since 7.15 am
• After a proper settlement and a fine breakfast, we went for one of famous place in Jaipur – Jaj mahal (Prince Man Singh was the ruler).
• It was holded over by CCD, a common stalls like some accessories and novels , and clothing shops consisting of various fabrics it.
• A very unexpected and famous personalities was seen during oue visit. (abhishek bacchan and prachi desai)
• One of well known museum (Albert Hall) was exposed to us, which had maintained all ancient traditions into it.
• Again the very thing was given priority specially for females- an outstanding lobby and all time favourite- shopping at the local market (Bapu Bazaar)
JAIPUR- INDUSTRIAL VISIT
Day 6- 16th feb,
• One of the famous Industries Bajrang Wire Products and Jaipur Dairy Industry gave us a better exposure to make our visit worthful.
• It includes production of aluminum wires under accurate conditions.
• One of the major dealers which deals with the industry is “Tata steel”
• Before starting the process the standard temperature should be made to attain till 700degree c, which carries around 8 hrs and then the process takes place
• Different sizes of wires
5.50mm, 4.50mm
• Chromium and steel give more hardness to the wire. Most important part of methodology is Ammonium chloride NH3cl bonding between zinc and Aluminum and then Zinc (in method format) is coated over the entire wire, to make it tough. This process is termed as ‘Galvanization’
• Once the process gets over, the wires are made to cool at 50 degree c and then they are taken forward.

JAIPUR DAIRY
• It is one of the known dairy in the entire jaipur, where not only supply of milk takes place, but also other various products are also produced under favorable conditions
• The brand which holds the entire dairy is “SARAS”
• All milk products- paneer, srikhand, milk, ghee, butter curd, all in fresh conditions are prepared at the same location under different sections, and with proper observations.
• A new way of keeping milk at least for 6 month in storage is going to be introduced through tetra packing.
• It is also termed as ‘Cartened Milk’.
• Milk when prepared above 70 degree c is termed as Pastuerized Milk.
• Standard boiling point is 100 degree c
• Standard melting point is 0 degree c.
• SARAS means – THE BEST.
• And our feedback was “saras” when we got a “ CHILLED LASSI” in the lot afternoon to taste.
• In the evening one of the site was “CHOKI DHANI”
• A Rajasthani village cum resort with lots of different live folk dances, magic shows, palmist, bazigar show, jugglers show etc with Traditional Rajasthan dinner .
• It was a fantastic evening to see the entire Rajasthan at the same place.
JAIPUR – RANTHAMBORE
Day 7- 17th feb, 2012
• It was a wild life sanctuary we travelled into a kant and got a opportunity to see various species of animals at a very near distance from us , which are actually trapped into the cages in our areas.
• Tiger, Deer , Cat
• It was exciting experience.
• Finally we departed from Ranthambore (jaipur) sawai railway station Madhopur since 10.30pm
• And we did got in train at 10.30 pm
BACK TO MUMBAI
Day 8- 18th feb, 2012
• It was an overnight journey for Mumbai and we arrived at Bandra terminus at 2.30 pm and dispersed with happy memories
