Steganography is the art and science of hiding information within other information in such a way that it is difficult or even impossible to say that it is there. Many carrier file formats can be used, but digital images are the most popular because of their frequency on the Internet. The carrier can be sent to a receiver without anyone knowing that it contains a hidden message. The safety of any steganography method depends on the quality of the image after hiding information within the image. The qualities of the stego image (resulting image) depend on the value of the peak signal-to-noise ratio, signal-to-noise ratio and LSB number changed. The simple steganography technique (LSB) is the technique most used to hide secret information in the least significant bit of the stego image pixels. But a proposed LSB method divides the secret message into number of partitions, which have the same length (number of characters) and find the best LSB of pixels in the stego image that correspond to each partition. The main objective of this method is to minimize the number of LSBs that are changed. This will lead to increase the value of PSNR and improve the quality of the stego image and as a result increase the immunity of stego-image vis-à-vis visual attack. The experiment shows that the proposed technique gives a good improvement in the result as compared to the technique of the least classical bit (LSB).
Along with advances in information technology, cybercrime techniques also increased. There are several forms of attacks on data and information, such as hackers, crackers, Trojans, etc. The Symantec Intelligence report release in August 2012 indicated that the attacker selected the target of the attacks. The type of data is valuable and confidential. Hackers selected the target to attack or steal information of interest the first and not only took randomly a large amount of data. This indication worried that hackers stole the most planned data. So, today many systems strengthened with various efforts to maintain data security and overcome these attacks. Methods necessary to secure electronic messages that do not fall on those who are not authorized. An alternative is steganography. Cryptography and steganography are the two main techniques for secret communication. Cryptography converts information from its original form (plain text) into an illegible form (ciphertext); Where as in steganography is the art of hiding messages within other data without changing the data that is attached, so the data before and after the process of hiding almost resemble the same. There are many different techniques available for cryptography and steganography. The cryptographic suspicion against the disguised message is easily recognizable, because the message disguised as the original message change becomes as illegible. The more you reduce the suspicion of steganography disguised as message hidden in the file. The research designed the application of steganography using the least significant bit (LSB) in which the above message is encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm and can restore previously hidden data. The messages in this form application and hidden text in the digital image of the media to not arouse suspicion.
