hello, the main idea behind my project is when a motion is detected an image is clicked and a message is sent thru GSM and the stored image is stored in usb
i'm using pic32mx795f512L for interfacing usb and camera and motion sensor(IR sensor)
and pic18 for GSM

abstract
ABSTRACT:
This project is on an event based digital camera with motion detection, alerting capabilities and storing the pictures in USB.
For cameras to operate in areas where continuous surveillance is not required, we propose a mechanism which will operate an event based digital camera and stores the image data in a USB flash drive.
This system will employ a digital camera with JPEG compression technique along to capture the images of the area. To activate the camera and manage the jpeg data flow to the USB Mass Storage Device the system employs a PIC32 Controller. PIC 32 is a 32- bit controller developed by Microchip Technology. PIC 32 is an abbreviation for Peripheral Interface Controller – 32 bit. This controller has wide variety of features like low cost, wide availability, availability of low cost or free development tools and serial programming makes it more suitable for the subsystem.
Advantages of PIC architecture:-
1) Small instruction set to learn.
2) RISC architecture.
3) Built in oscillator.
4) Wide range of interfaces including I2C, SPI, USB, USART, A/D.
SPECIFICATION:-
This system will be responsible for capturing the images, storing it on the USB Mass Storage Device and alerting the client. This system will employ USB Host Stack to configure itself as the USB Host. The system will consist of following parts
1. JPEG Camera- To capture Images.
2. USB Host Stack – This part will be responsible for connecting the USB Mass Storage Device to the system.
3. GSM module- This part will be responsible for alerting the client
DESIGN:-
The system consists of a PIC32 as its Central processing unit which will control the operation of the JPEG camera based on an event. In the proposed system the event will be depicted by output of a motion Sensor. After getting the image data from the camera the processor will route the data to the USB host from where the data can be stored in USB Flash Storage and alerts the client about the motion detected through GSM module. A pen drive of 2GB space will be used as the Flash storage for the image data.

when a motion is detected it enables pic 32 as well as pic18
pic 32 inturns triggers camera which captures the image and stores in USB and at the same pic 18 triggers GSM and send a message"MOTION DETECTED"
