Working Model:
Our project "Online job Consultancy" is a system which assists a person to find his dream job.
The idea behind this project is very lucid and abstract.
The only purpose of an action is to help an individual to find his Dream job. For this purpose we design a system having two clients one of which is the jobseeker and the other is a representative from a company. Firstly, jobseeker registers himself with a unique and distinct id with an extension @js, log in to his particular account, uploads his fresh resume, submit his academic and technical details, his desired job profile.
The company representative also registers with distinct id with @cr extension, the idea behind this distinct extension is to separate company's representatives from the jobseekers, and the company's representative logs in to his account, updating the company's requirement and also checking the available human resources. All the academic and technical details of Jobseeker and Company Representative are stored in a centralized database. Our system makes use of this information to link an individual with the company.
In detail, after a job seeker logs into his account he first enters his B.Tech and M.Tech percentage, his interested job profile. For this reason we had maintained a template of various job profiles and acronyms. The user needs to enter the acronym for the job profile he is interested. All these details are stored in Jsaced table. Now after the Company representative logs into his account he also enters the company requirement using the acronyms in the template. All these details are stored in rjpadd table. The company representative can also check the availability of various human resources by clicking on “check availability” button.
If there is any match between the Interested and required field of two tables, the details of jobseeker are sent to the company representative.
INTRODUCTION TO DBMS
A database management, or DBMS, gives the user access to and helps them to transform their data into information. Such databases include ORACLE, IMS, and MySQLetc. These systems allow user to create, update and extract information from their information from their database.
A database is a structured collection of data. Data refers to the characteristics of people, things and events. Sql stores each data item in its own fields. In Sql, the fields relating to a particular person, thing or event are bundled together to form a single complete unit of data called a record (it can also referred to as raw or an occurrence). Each record is made up of a number of fields. No two fields in a record can have the same field name.
