A fiber optic line is initially straight with respect to an optical axis. An optical ray in the
fiber optic cable propagates parallel fiber 2 m from the optical axis. The optical fiber line is then gradually radially bent. Calculate the loss in transmission in the fiber as a function of the bend radius of the fiber. Assume that the light is normally polarized with
respect to the plane of incidence.
