Project is solution to problem that “operation of drilling series of holes in a low value structural product which demands tedious accurate operations increasing employee work-load”. With the knowledge of CAD/CAM, IAR, JIG & FIXTURES. We designed an automated drilling machine with the help of pneumatic cylinder with two drills operating horizontally, contrary to the traditional drilling machine. Methodology used in the project is basic product design & development process which includes identification of need, understanding the problem, idea generation, design brief, concept design, detail design, final product. Firstly need was of a designed machine, Secondly problem was inaccuracy and time consuming iterative operation, Thirdly idea was of an automated machine, Fourthly in design brief phase specifications of machine components which includes Pneumatic cylinder, DC valve, drills, motor, clamping tool etc., Fifthly concept was that pneumatic pressure directed by DC valve can be used to displace drills operated by electric motor, Sixthly detail design was made in Solid Work
