performance analysis of data access monitoring in cloud
performance analysis .pptx (Size: 2.18 MB / Downloads: 23)
Objective
Monitoring the users access on data in the cloud
Generating report to the data owner about the access to the data on the cloud
Monitoring the database service to provide better response time, availability, throughput based on the customer’s requirement
Scope
The data owner can have control over his data at any location on the cloud
Data owner can get the report about the actions made on the data at any time.
Introduction to cloud computing
Cloud computing is a computing model, for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources
Cloud computing provides anything as a service
In cloud environment, users can access storages and applications from remote cloud servers through multiple virtual servers
Data Sharing in the Cloud
Remote access for shared data
User doesn’t know the physical location of the file
User can access the data from anywher in the world
An authorized entity can access the data
Existing System
A cloud information accountability framework is used to monitor the actual usage over the data
A JAR programmable capabilites will automatically trigger an auditing mechanism to record the access details
Log retrieval algorithm is used to report the logfiles to the data owner.
Module 2-user access monitoring
Logging modules such as Pure log and Access log will be developed
Pure log-records every access to the data using log file
Accesslog-records the time of access, duration of access
To carryout these functions the inner JAR contains a class file for writing the log records
Another class file for displaying and downloading the data(based on whether we have a pure log or access log)
The outer JAR contains a class file to authenticate the users, another class file for finding the correct inner JAR
