Microcontroller devices are widely used in the industrial field. We use the network interface to connect more than one device for parallel control. Here we present an RS 485 interface design based on the PIC controller. In this design the RS 485 module can be converted into a network interface for connectivity to the device. The design consists mainly of process control unit, RS485 communication module and GSM communication module. In the design the data can be transmitted from the industrial device to the process control unit and also the data can be transmitted in the mobile through the GSM modem, when the administrator requests data. All machines are authenticated by the administrator, using a password; The administrator can control the entire process of the machines.
With the development of network technology and communication technology, the need for industrial control can be completed through network or wireless n / w has become a trend. In the traditional industrial control system or in the data acquisition system, it adopts the structure that a host connects multiple serial devices through multiport serial cards. The task of the host is to communicate with each industrial device, process data and interact between the operator and the central computer. This structure is feasible in the case of fewer devices, lower transmission rate. But when a host needs to connect more serial devices at the same time with higher transmission speed and data processing is more complex, the performance of the system is poor. In addition, these serial devices connect. The same host can be geographically far away and this will increase the length of the cabling and drop communication quality. Therefore, it is necessary to find a solution to perform the communication between the industrial control devices and the RS 485 bus. Because the embedded system has network performance and human-mobile interaction, it is possible for the embedded system to replace the previous control method. So our project is based on the design of PIC controller based RS 485 interface is presented. In designing the RS 485 module can be converted into n / w interface. |
