Granular filler soft soil and geosynthetic reinforcements are considered linear elastic materials. Geo-synthetic reinforcements are modeled as fully bonded cable elements with the surrounding soil, thus neglecting any slippage. The distribution of vertical, lateral and shear stresses in the soil is greatly affected as the number of reinforcing layers increases. If the tensile rigidity of the geosynthetic layers increases and their value does not exceed 4,000-5,000 kN / m, the reinforced foundation settlement decreases significantly. The reduction in settlement is insignificant when the tensile strength of geosynthetics exceeds the previous value.
