Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a key element of our Cloud-based supply chain management service. The problem area introduced here is to experiment and discover the least costly passive RFID in the global supply chain process using the latest cloud-based software infrastructure. This document briefly covers the underlying principle of RFID, introducing the supply chain management process and our proposed solutions based on the cloud-based SCM services. The goal of this wok is to provide clarity on how RFID can be used in supply chain management with modern cloud-based platforms, reducing overall cost overhead for the business. Key audiences are players in the manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, and retail industries who are interested in finding a cost-effective solution to manage their supply chain inventory management system.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a predominant technology that uses radio waves to monitor and control products in supply chain management. Each product has a label attached to it during the manufacturing process that contains a unique identifier that can be used to uniquely identify a product by all participants in the supply chain. The deployment and implementation of RFID systems has been a difficult task for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In this article, we propose cloud computing solution to overcome these challenges. Supply chains can install the RFID solution much faster by deploying the cloud, avoiding many of the expensive infrastructure costs required for pre-cloud systems.
