SECRET COMMUNICATION THROUGH AUDIO FOR DEFENCE COMMUNICATION THROUGH.pptx (Size: 125.33 KB / Downloads: 30) Steganography Steganography is an art of sending hidden data or secret messages over a public channel so that a third party cannot detect the presence of the secret messages. The goal of steganography is different from classical encryption, which seeks to conceal the content of secret messages; steganography is about hiding the very existence of the secret messages The main goal of this project is to hide the text on audio which can be used as a host media to hide textual message without affecting the file structure and content of the audio file. Related works the purpose of steganography is to provide secret communication like cryptography. But steganography must not be confused with cryptography , where one transforms the message so as to make its meaning obscure to malicious people who intercept it. In cryptography, the system is broken when the attacker can read the secret message. Breaking a steganographic system needs the attacker to detect that steganography has been used and he is able to read the embedded message Previous problems encountered When text data as cover data : Hiding information in text is the most popular method of Steganography. It is used to hide a secret message in every nth character or altering the amount of white space after lines or between words of a text message. But it is not used frequently because the text files have a small amount of redundant data. Importance With computers and Networks, there are many other ways of hiding information, such as Covert channels, Hidden text within WebPages Hiding files in “Plain sight”, Null ciphers Today, the internet is filled with tons of programs that use steganography to hide the secret information Using steganography it is possible to conceal the full existence of the original text and the results obtained from the proposed model is compared with other existing techniques and proved to be efficient for textual messages of size beyond 12 KB as the size of the embedded text is approximately same as that of encrypted text size. |
