The main objective of this system is to focus on diffuse techniques for filtering images. Several fuzzy noise reduction filters have already been developed. Those techniques deal with fat-tail noise like impulse noise. Most fuzzy techniques are not specifically designed for Gaussian noise (similar) or do not produce convincing results when applied to handle this type of noise. A new diffuse filter is presented for the reduction of the noise of damaged images with additive noise. Proposed system The proposed system presents a new technique for filtering narrow-tail noise and medium-sized narrow-tail noise using a diffuse filter. The system:- • First, it estimates a "diffuse derivative" to be less sensitive to local variations due to image structures such as edges • Secondly, the membership functions are adapted accordingly to the noise level to perform "diffuse smoothing". • For each pixel being processed, the first step calculates a diffuse derivative. Second, a set of 16 fuzzy rules is fired to determine a correction term. These rules make use of the diffuse derivative as input. • Fuzzy sets are used to represent properties. While the membership functions for and are fixed, the membership function for adapts after each iteration. |
