Safety is the paramount concern of all. This project describes an effective safety alarm system design that can monitor the home with eight different sensors. Unauthorized access, fire accident, wall braking, infrared detection and fire detection can be controlled by the status of each individual sensor and indicated by an LED. This LED shows if the sensor has been activated and the wiring to the sensor is in order. The alarm is also equipped with a so-called "panic button". The anti-theft alarm is built around Atmel's AT89S52 microcontroller. This micro controller provides all the functionality of the anti-theft alarm. It is also responsible for filtering the signals at the inputs. Only after an input has remained unchanged for 30 milliseconds, this new signal level is now processed by the microcontroller program. This time can be varied by adopting small changes in the source code.
