The project aimed at development of algorithm for application of clam-on technique in acoustic flow meters .These ultrasonic flow meters were based on transit time method. Reflection of sound waves from the surface of the pipe resulted in distortion of the received signals. Hence ,diverse measurements in the hydro laboratory were performed and then analyzed and processed by Matlab programming environment. Main task my work were - 1) to analyze the effect of geometry and material on the ultrasonic pulses 2) to develop algorithm by which the flow can be determined from received acoustic signals and validate it with laboratory measurements. Industrial partner of the project was Rittmeyer AG, Switzerland.
