Abstracts: The 3-phase Induction motor has good steady state response but poor dynamic response. It becomes necessary to have precise torque control of 3-phase induction motor for obtaining dynamic response. This problem can be overcome by Vector Control of 3-phase induction motor comprises a field-oriented control on stator-field. Basically, the space vector of the stator current have two components : (1) Magnetizing current component(2) Torque producing current component. Torque pulsation can be reduced by using the uniform pulse width modulation (PWM) Inverter .A MATLAB based model of Vector Control of 3-phase Induction Motor is developed for simulation. Simulation result indicates that by controlling the basic input parameters of 3-phase Induction Motor an effective robust control with a high dynamic performance is achieved. Hence, we obtain the 3-phase Induction Motor having Torque-Speed characteristic as similar as of the Separately Excited Fully Compensated DC motor.
