Wireless Encryption and Decryption using RF communication.doc (Size: 54 KB / Downloads: 36)
Description
Wireless data communication is one of the most popular ways of transferring data between two electronic systems. Wireless communication is being carried out at different speeds and covering larger distances by the day. But security is of major concern. A possible solution for this problem is to encrypt the data at the transmitter and decrypt the same at the receiver to ensure secure transfer of data.
‘Wireless Encryption and Decryption are using RF communication’, aims to establish the same between two microcontrollers using bit operation technique. Encryption is carried by many procedures in this project we are encoding the status of machineries at transmitter part and decoding the live status at receiver part.
There are two microcontroller sections in this project, one each in the transmitter and receiver. The transmitter section has key board and hyper terminal interfaced to ATmega8 microcontroller. To establish wireless communication with the microcontroller at the receiving end, RF communication is used. An RF transmitter module is used at the transmitter section with an appropriate RF receiver module at the receiver section. When the data is to be encrypted at the transmitter, the exact data is received with the help of an RF decoder and is displayed on the hyper terminal.
Hardware Specification:
• Regulated power supply of 5V.
• ATmega8 Micro controllers, one each at the transmitter and receiver
• RF transmitter and receiver modules with respective encoder ad decoder to establish wireless communication
Software tools:
• AVR Studio4.1
• WIN AVR Compiler.
Applications:
• This system can be used for military application for security.
• It can be used in air craft applications.
