The new iBeacon technology uses low-cost Bluetooth low energy signalling to enable micro-location services and to activate actions within applications. A woman with a mobile phone just has to go through the Bluetooth signal to be tracked by an application. The application can be programmed to do anything from a run "where was she at xx: xx time of day?" A "was he at the place he said it would be at 2:00 pm?" This technology is already implemented in leading retailers through a for-profit company called ShopKick. We can reuse this technology to provide follow-up safety for women and youth who (due to lack of after-school programs) hang out at US malls. everyday.

The goal is to increase the chances of being saved in times of distress.
