Bhagat Singh was one of the strongest freedom fighter of the Indian independence movement. For this reason, he is referred as “Shaheed Bhagat Singh” (the word shaheed means “martyr").
What made Bhagat join the struggle at teen age?
As a child, he was deeply affected by the Jalianwala Bagh Massacre that took place in Punjab in 1919.
He became an active participant at very minor age of 13.
He openly opposed the British by burning his government-school books and British-imported clothing.

Bhagat ran from his house at an early age to avoid child marriage
His only LOVE and Marriage was with “Mother Land”.
A very unfortunate thing is that he got hanged till death at the age of 23 years and Mahatma Gandhi had an opportunity to stop Singh's execution but he did not.
