4. Managing the workmen for achieving periodic production targets and responsible for developing and implementing technology to improve productivity.
5. Preparing SOPs, Manuals & Work Instructions for production operations for the unit and maintaining reports for facilitating decision making by the management.
6. Developing new process concepts for production optimization, yield improvement and developing guidelines for the sequencing of manufacturing activities
Process Management :
1. Analysing various processes/applications and recommending modifications & equipment calibrations to enhance operational efficiency.
2. Devising systems and process changes for qualitative improvements in productivity and for reducing the rate of rejection.
3. Developing cost saving measures & modifications to achieve substantial reduction in terms of man days, production cost, raw material & energy consumption.
4. Ensuring equipment availability & Breakdown management.
Quality Assurance :
1. Leading the implementation of qualitative assurance across Raw Materials, Work In Progress, Finished Goods across various functional Departments.
2. Directing quality - routine and non routine issues by interacting with concerned departments such as Purchase, Production etc. of projects till completion.
3. Conducting regular Internal Audits, Field Failure Analysis, Troubleshooting and Reviews to ensure adherence to pre-set norms.
4. Training and guiding teams towards identifying factors critical to quality, reducing process variation, improving capabilities & increasing stability.
Maintenance Management :
1. Planning and effecting preventive maintenance schedules of various machineries and to increase machine up time/ reliability; thereby accomplishing planned production targets.
2. Proactively identify areas of obstruction/ breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipments through application of trouble shooting tools.
3. Developing and implementing plans & schedules for Maintenance Operations and Annual Turn Arounds with focus on optimum utilization of manpower and material.
Installation & Commissioning :
1. Supervising installation and commissioning of Equipments, followed by trial runs.
2. Identifying project bottlenecks and undertaking corrective measures.
3. Ensuring effective site management and discipline to ensure safe & timely execution of the projects.
4. Overseeing the installation and commissioning of equipment, followed by plant trial runs meeting targeted performance / quality & quantity parameters and thereafter handing over of the plant.
