Seminar on ACTIVE CAMPUS(ON SMART PHONES)
INTRODUCTION:-
Now a days most of University campus are growing from small town into a busy city, with many departments and labs . It effect the campus’s learning, & education program.
Active Campus is a project which solve these problem.
This paper makes 3 contribution
1. Identifies set of sociological issues.
2. It defines a base set of services
3. Balancing our community's needs for and privacy, scalable special.
Query, and inexpensive geo-location.
Active Campus is working system used by everyone at University Of California,San Diego (UCSD).
WHAT IS ACTIVE CAMPUS?
Active campus project aims at provide an
web application which will be used by
students who are looking for answers
to the technical/educational questions
using a web browser or smart phone.
Active Campus provides the ability of
users for adding Questions and Answers
which will be used for gaining knowledge
in subject and also used for Interview questions.
Questions can be viewed on basis of Roles of users and
questions/Answers can be added by users based on roles.
The project would mainly provide interfaces to web and mobile
users for managing and viewing of Question and Answers.

Creating and Managing User, roles, News and Events.
Posting jobs and managing posted jobs.
Approving/Rejecting Login Request for the subscriber.
Managing roles, Adding News and Events.
Adding Faqs and answers to it.
Managing Forums for the Answers posted by students.
Viewing and downloading Faqs and materials for the students.
If any of the questions or answers is found to be offense for the site and its users, you can report it as abused so that it will be taken out of site until the site admin reviews the same and either cancels the abuse or deletes the question.
Student have a chance to post question to Experts regarding any particular Question.
Experts users will post Faqs and materials those will be used to student or subscribers.
Managing mails to student when requested for Login and also to admin to approve/reject them thorough his mails itself.
Managing mails when student is approved he will be receiving mail for approval.
ADMINISTRATOR MODULE:-
This section allows the Administrator to add/delete/edit Question Type, Categories, Questions and Answers.
Admin can view all Categories and can see all questions and answers of selected category and can move questions from one category to another category.
Admin can assign the various roles who will be allowed to access a particular question and its answers.
Admin can filter those questions on basis of various criteria such as User, Date Created and Reported Abuse.
Admin can a Lock or Unlock Questions depending up on his requirement. When a question is locked, the answers to that question are not viewable by any other users except the Admin; however the question continues to be displayed.
Admin can create accounts for various users such as Experts and Subscribers and manage these user accounts.
Admin can approve a registration as a Subscriber. Only upon approval can the Subscriber log in to use his account.
