HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
• PIC STARTER Evaluation Board
• A serial cable, 9 pin male to 9 pin female connector wired one-to-one
• A PC available with RS232 port. If the port has 25 pin connector, a pin male to 25 pin female adaptor may be required.
• USB Cable for Power Supply or 230V to 9V transformer.(750 mA)
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
• MPLAB for PIC.
• ICPROG Flash Programmer.
• MS Windows 98/ME or windows XP/2000/2003.
INTRODUCTION
The EmBlitz PIC Starter Board is a full fledged development board with Microchip PIC microcontroller 16F877A. The board includes all necessary circuitry and peripherals interfaced to the microcontroller, which allow the users especially the beginners or small project developments with less complexities, to easily practice and work on the various features of the controller.
On board there are 3 Zip sockets into which 40, 28, 20 pins microcontrollers can be installed. The board provides In-System- Programming via serial port. The board can be used to programming any 16Fxxx/18Fxxx series of micro controllers.
