“Design, Implementation and Testing of GSM Based Monitoring and Security Device for Stand-Alone SPV system
: Objectives of the project are to sense the displacement of the battery using accelerometer and to observe temperature discharge and dry run. The proposed system has sensing unit and main unit. The sensing unit is used to sense the displacement of the battery from its place and to monitor the temperature and voltage of the battery. The main unit includes LCD, GSM Module and Buzzer. The LCD is used to display the status of the battery. The GSM module is used to send alert text messages in case of under voltage, over voltage and temperature rise of the battery. Further a phone call is made to the authorized person as well as the buzzer beeps to alert battery theft. This project has been implemented in the BEC energy park for the 9 SPV batteries used for lighting

• Secured 2nd Rank in State Level in “Mathematica-2004 Maths talent Examination”.
• Undergone as Class Representative consecutive for 2 years.
• Participated in “ELECTROMAGNETICS WORKSHOP” conducted by Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot held from 1st -3rd March 2013.
• Secured prizes being an integral part of Departmental and Inter-departmental teams.
