Third Party Chat tool for Websites
Introduction
Live Chat Component is a web based live chat service for third parties such as the CRM division of enterprises and dealers. The CRM people can easily configure the chat tool in their website by doing a single copy paste activity. Even they don‚¬„¢t need the J2EE server installed in their web server.
Basically it is a two-way communication tool for the CRM people and their customers with text and audio chat. Whiteboard can be included as an add-on component.
Implementation
Live chat is a web application developed in J2EE. Any CRM people can signup in the site for setting up live chat in their site. So they will get code snippet to paste on their site and a Java based application to download and install on their PC. While a user clicks on the CRM chat button a chat window will be popped up with the header and footer of CRM website. And the chat window will try to connect to the JAVA based application on the PC of CRM People and on success the JAVA application will generate an alert to get the attention of CRM People. If the chat window can‚¬„¢t connect to the JAVA application there will a message on chat window that there is no CR people at this time.
The user will be never aware of using a third party tool because the chat tool can customize as per the preference of the CRM.
