PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

ImPlant is a Java library for drawing complex business & scientific charts. It can be used in any Java applications as a Swing-like GUI component, This application runs on the Java 2 Platform (JDK 1.2.2
Or later) and uses the Java 2D API for drawing, it currently supports the
Following charts.

o Bar charts (regular and stacked, with optional 3D effects).
o Pie charts.
o Line and area charts.
o Scatter plots and bubble charts.
o XY-plots and time series plots.
o Time series, high/low/open/close and candle stick charts.
o Gantt Chart
o Combination charts.


PROBLEMS IN THE EXISTING SYSTEM

Earlier graphs/charts are drawn with the help of a graphing package such as MSExcel. Though this graphing package can draw graph almost in any format including many suitable for analyzing suitable data “ if you know how to do it. Despite having good features it has certain limitations.
¢ Platform Dependent problem
¢ Cannot Generate Dynamic charts
¢ Online Chart Designing is not possible
¢ Run only on windows platform


SOLUTION OF THIS PROBLEM

ImPlant is a 100% Java based charting utility that outputs a variety of charts. This package has been designed from the ground up for displaying charts via Swing apps providing a user-friendly application can solve problems and ImPlant can achieve it. As this application is totally built in java, it has features of java programming language, such as portability, platform independent, simplicity, etc.

The advantages of ImPlant

ImPlant coordinates several objects to achieve its aim of being able to draw a chart on a Java 2D graphics device: a list of objects and a plot in turn manages a horizontal axis and a vertical axis.

¢ ImPlant runs on any platform: windows, Linux, Mac OS X, BSD, Solaris, etc.
¢ It can be embedded into web-based applications and can be accessed online.
¢ We can draw any type of charts for business or scientific use.
¢ Providing data can draw dynamic chart.
