Full Version: Communication Management Protocol
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
EXISTING SYSTEMS:
Currently available protocols are using the DOS functions or being hard-coded in binary formats for accessing serial ports. There is no wide scope to implement application protocols using FTP, HTTP, and SMTP services available in Windows. The existing protocols have been available in as-is-where-is basis and user has to go for third-party tools to access them and put in use in their applications. Moreover, user interfaces available with the operating systems that runs these services and protocols are complicated and extensive.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
The main objective of developing a library of communication management protocols is to implement them in the organization in a wider range of other systems. The Proposed Systems consists of all protocols with in a library, designed in such a way that user can deploy it on any application or system domain. Essentially, it uses classes and type libraries to communicate with the TCP ports and to provide application interface for protocol services like FTP, HTTP, and SMTP. Though some restrictions have been placed in certain modules, the entire set of protocols would enable how successfully we could mange communication between the systems and applications.

Abstract(Specification)

The communication management protocols library includes a set of communication protocols and is developed using JAVA. It provides different means of communication and networking methods on Serial ports and IO interface ports.

The following are the modules and detailed description about them.

PORT SCANNER:

Port scanner is a utility that scans the entire system and produces the list of opened and closed port.

TCP CLIENT:

It demonstrates communication technologies between client and server using sockets on each side. TCP server listens on port and responds to waiting clients to be connected. TCP client sends data packet to server spawns a thread to receive data through socket. Chat Program implements this methodology.

FTP CLIENT:

File uploading/downloading facilities from user systems to the remote server. It provides the facility to upload a file or multiple files from user's system to the server which is located remotely on the internet.
The fastest way is FTP, which can be uploading numerous files all at once without being the websites.

SMTP MAILER:

This has the capability to read and authentication, session management. It includes message queing (communicates message from one application to another application and it stores the message when the recipient is not there) using SMTP in the mail namespace and windows messaging services is created. We can send and receive mails through message services.
