Following trend of present market the project entitled "DESIGNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF REED AND ITS MECHANISM FOR PRODUCTION OF FIGURED FABRICS" was aimed at "Developing a new mechanism for production of figured fabrics on Plain Power Loom for Value addition to the existing fabric structure". The Mechanism is such that it can be attached on existing Plain Power Looms at very less cost. The most important part or the heart of the mechanism (and cost consuming part of the whole mechanism) is the reed, which is to be designed in such a way that figured fabrics can be produced according to the shape of the dents used in the reed.
