Studies On Biological Constituent From Natural Origin
Historically natural products have been used since antiquity and in folklore for the treatment of many diseases and diseases. The classical natural chemistry methodologies of the products allowed to discover a wide range of bioactive secondary metabolites from terrestrial and marine sources. Many of these natural products have now become candidates for current drugs. This brief review aims to highlight the biologically significant natural products of seafarers and terrestrial, their use in folklore and techniques of de-replication to facilitate their discovery.

A natural product is a chemical compound or a substance produced by a living organism, that is, found in nature. In the broadest sense, natural products include any substance produced by life. Natural products can also be prepared by chemical synthesis (both semi-synthesis and total synthesis) and have played a central role in the development of the field of organic chemistry, providing challenging synthetic objectives. The term natural product has also been extended for commercial purposes to refer to cosmetics, dietary supplements and foods produced from natural sources without added artificial ingredients.

In the field of organic chemistry, the definition of natural products is usually restricted to purified organic compounds isolated from natural sources that are produced by primary or secondary metabolic pathways. Within the field of medicinal chemistry, the definition is often limited to secondary metabolites. Secondary metabolites are not essential for survival, but nonetheless provide the organisms that produce them an evolutionary advantage. Many secondary metabolites are cytotoxic and have been selected and optimized through evolution for use as "chemical warfare" agents against dams, predators and competing organisms.

Natural products sometimes have therapeutic benefits as traditional medicines for the treatment of diseases, giving knowledge to derive active components as lead compounds for the discovery of drugs. Although natural products have inspired numerous drugs approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, the development of pharmaceuticals from natural sources has diminished the attention of pharmaceutical companies, partly because of unreliable access and supply, intellectual property or the seasonal or environmental variability of the composition. due to the increase in extinction rates.
