Introduction:
Railway Reservation System in which mainly Facilitate the passenger that he/she easily checkout the trains scheduling, booking the tickets from any specific stations, Reserved the seats, Canceling the tickets on the online environment. The project is meets the all qualities like it maintainable, reliable and efficient.
Scope of project:
This software is designed basically designed for the passengers in this he\she easily check the train Secluding, reserve the available seats from different specific cities and also be cancelled out the reserve Seat by online system.
Requirements:
• Passenger can have single ticket or multiple tickets.
• Passenger is identified by name, age, sex and address.
• Trains are identified by name and number.
• Output of the system is ticket(s) with details.
• The process is triggered through a form filled by the passenger detailing the
Requirements of tickets, train, date, etc.
• A form is used for each train. If the journey requires use of multiple trains,
Separate forms are used for each train.
Objectives:
• A passenger should be able to reserve a seat online in the train.
• A passenger should have a opportunity to reserve specified by him if available.
• A passenger should be able to reserve the seat from different classes like business class or economic etc.
• There may arise a case when the passenger wants to cancel his reservation .For this he has to fill a cancellation form providing all the details about the ticket reserved by him and reservation finally be cancel and , he get the ticket amount back with some deduction.
• After making payment the passenger can collect the ticket from the clerk or computer that contain the info like train name, train number, date of journey, boarding station, destination.
• Only the Administrator has the right to make changes in train details(train name, train no. etc.).The system should also be able to generate report when needed in the form of reservation charts , train schedule charts etc.
• Only the user with specified identity (which is given from system) , can get view reservation status & train scadual.This provides security from unauthorized access.
Limitation:
• Ticket must be purchase from station.
• Ticket must be required for a travelling.
• Ticket must be cancel if any person no reached at a time.
• A ticket that is canceled can be reserve on next station.
• Only the cities mention in the requirements reservation can done only on the cities .other cities reservation cannot done.
