CITIZEN GROUP has its roots in a small business activity started by S. Manohar Singh as a zinc plater in 1973, which was then expanded to include manufacturing of cycle components in 1981, when his son, our current CEO Mr. Manjinder Singh joined him after completing his graduation in commerce.The business was named as K. S Munjal Industries In the year 1990, when the Auto component manufacturing activity was started under the name CITIZEN PRESS COMPONENTS, the entire business was renamed as CITIZEN GROUP.
Project-Material/Scrap control cum Production Sheet
Objective: 1. To control the scrap value against production and supply 2. To make a uniform production sheet including all department of production Result: Succeeded in project Production sheet got completed within two months and now working in citizen press components. Content details: 1. FG store sheet 2. Raw material indent sheet 3. Production sheet 4. Scrap value sheet 5. Bill of material sheet These four sheets are in circle network. (A)The first step is FG store work Customer will send the requirement or demand of items on starting of month. Production planning control team will make schedule for completion of work. This sheet is directly linked with Bill of material sheet. Formulas will convert number of item to raw material amount which is in gross weight. This sheet will also give us the amount of scrap which comes from number of pieces produced. (B) Second sheet work is raw material indent sheet This sheet is being controlled by store keeper of raw material. With this sheet we are able to know how much material is issued from store on everyday basis. This sheet is also attached with production sheet where raw material issued on everyday basis is blinking. © Third sheet work is production sheet This sheet is main sheet from where we are able to know (a) What is produced? (b) How much is produced? © Number of hours worked on machine for production (d) Final production (e) Pending raw material after production of specific amount of items. This sheet is the most dominating factor of this project. If provided accurate data on this sheet then we are able to know the above given factors which are the most important thing for an industry dealing in automotive or where production is going on. (D) The fourth sheet is scrap value sheet In this sheet all sheets are linked, from which we are directly getting the amount of production on weekly and monthly basis and the amount of supply from FG store to customer. Linkage with BOM will convert the total amount of production into scrap on which the scrap value is given for one piece for every item (E) Bill of material sheet Bill of material sheet contains all type of raw material which are useful in production as well as contains the net weight and gross weight. Gross weight = Total weight of material required to make the components including scrap etc. Net weight = exact weight of component BENEFITS OF THIS PROJECT 1. No need of stock taking (All data is in hand) if accurate data is punched. 2. Raw material can be reviewed against requirement. 3. Inventory can be reviewed against production and supply. 4. Scrap can be reviewed against production and supply. 5. Transparency between management and actual shop floor. 6. Blame free network because individual duties are shown in this sheet no one can blame for their act to other. 7. Easy to maintain and update
