2. Introduction to Project

This project is aimed at developing a ticket reservation system for buses , flights ,taxi, trains, ships, cars. The Travel Tour Ticket System isan Internet based applicationthat can beaccesses throughout the Netand can be accessed by anyone who has a net connection. This application will automate the reservation of tickets and Enquiries about availability of the tickets. This application helps people who love to travel and they get all the travelling facilities under one site. This is one of the important features of our system. By examining the existing system on the internet, we found that there is no such function available at this moment, so we try to include it in our system. This site helps travelers to easily book their tickets online which helps to save time.

2.1 Functional components of the project:

Followingisalistoffunctionalitiesofthesystem.Morefunctionalitythatyoufindappropriate can be added to this list. And, in places where the description of functionality is not adequate, you can make appropriate assumptions and proceed. The travellers has a web site and any user of internet can access this. The travelling site has taxi booking , bus booking, flight booking, ship booking, car booking and hotel booking. Only 100% of the seats areavailable for online reservation for any module.

1. A person should be able to

•Search for buses which he/she want to select and travel.

•Choose the depart date and destination date , depaert place and destination place ,number of adults , children and infant which he/she wish to book tickets.

•Query the booking on travel ticket for one weeks (Only one weeks advance reservationis available) should be there.

•Able to choose the seats whichare available for acertain destination ,place and date.

•Can know the bus root , bus cost and bus name also.

• Give details about the credit card or debit card through which he is doingpayment.

•Able collect tickets at the counter presenting the unique id send to him/herthrough email.

2.A mail should be send tothe concernedperson about the confirmation of the ticket tothe specified email address.

3.Thesystemshouldautomaticallyshowthefareforthecorrespondingshowsandamount of money needs to be pay for selected seats.

2.2 Project Overview and Summary

2.2.1 Purpose of Project :

The main purpose of our Travel Tout Ticket System is to provide another way for the customer to buy ticket and travel .It is an automatic system. After inserting data intodatabase, staff needs not to do with the order receive through the system. In fact, there is similar system on the internet, but there is no refund method found in the existing system. The goals of our system are:

1.To provide a anytime anyplace servicefor the customer.

2.To provide user to book every transport and hotel booking on one site.

3.Toincreasethe profit.

4.To obtainstatistic information from the bookingrecord.

2.2.2 Scope of Project :

· GeneralRequirements(functional):

1. The web page (e.g. the time table page) will be generated automatically according tothe data in database.

2.A way in which the Travel admin (staff) can login to the system to performdifferent operation.

3. A way in which the customer can modify its own data(booked seats before payment).

4.A way in which the customer can commit order by just clicking the seat (which isshown on the screen) and insert some card data.

5.A way in which the customer can check the book record (seat numbers)selected byhim/her at the time of payment.

6.A way in which the staff can use the system to add data(e.g.destnation date description) to thedatabase..

· Interface Enhancements:

Our web-based system needs about more than 30 interfaces to handle all the functions.

Admin

One of the main purpose of our system is to reduce the number of staff in the bookingt box. So, most of the job is done by the system automatically. Staff only need to insert data and due with the refund part.

Customer

To make the system more user-friendly, customer need not to enter lots of data. An orderwill be commit step by step with guideline (request about 7 steps for an order).

· Non-functional requirements:

It consists of following parameters:-

1. Reliability:

The system will consistently perform its intended function. For eg.The important must be validated.

2. Efficiency:

Unnecessary data will not be transmitted on the network and database server will be properly connected.

3. Reusability:

The system can be reused in any organization or site of the same group, by defining the organization master definition under software license agreement.

4. Integrity:

Only System Administrator has rights to access the database, not every user can access all the information. Ecah user will be having rights to access the modules.

2.3 Overview

Our Travel Tour Ticket is a web-based system. The customers can book transport and hotel booking online and cancel the seat at a suitable time (2 days before the show to 1hour before the show). To enhance the refund function, all the customershave to present the unique id provided at the time of booking seats online.Staff can usethe system toinsert and delete data(e.g. cost ,root, name) whichwill update the webpage (webpage are dynamic page, changing according to the data indatabase). Also, staff can check the statistic information from the system.

2.3.1 Features

· Lists all travelling modules :

The website lists allof the majortravelling modules like bus booking, taxi booking , hotel booking and cost of the travel, root of the travelling , along with the information of available seats.

This module provides information related to various routes connecting sources and destination. For each route, information such as source, destination, fare, reservation details, pick up points etc are provides

Users can only view the information.

Flight -Booking Bus-Booking Hotel-booking
· Contact us:

The Travel tour ticket service offers consumer travelling reviews posted and generated by differentcritics and media.

· Limit Search by destination:

You can limit the destination search by destination location.

· Limit Search by destination date:

You can limit your search by a specific destination date.

· Limit Search by departure:

2.4 PROBLEM STATEMENT

In the existing system, the Customer has to visit different sites for booking seats for different travelling transport.Furtherthey donoteven have the information about the transport they are travelling cost and route different rates of the ticket .Even the customer may not be able to get information about different booking of travelling available in theworld. So, if he wish tosee ahotel on a particular day he has tofirstroam around the city to find out where it is being shown at the specific time.Further booking owner has to hire large number of staff at the counter for sellingtickets.Enquiries about booking, etc.Hence this system is much tedious and not much user friendly as per the need ofcurrent scenario.

2.5 SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

In current travelling system, whenever a tourist visits famous spots, to know more about the place he/she hires the guide. the travelling web application tells the proposed system doesnot require a physical guide.

Travelers can share their experiences and photos and videos to the site which can help others to visit the proper places.

4. SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE:
4.1.Analysis Phase

The analysis phase defines the requirements of the system, independent of how these requirements will be accomplished. This phase defines the problem that the customer is trying to solve. The deliverable result at the end of this phase is a requirement document. Ideally, this document states in a clear and precise fashion what is to be built. This analysis represents the “what'' phase. The requirement document tries to capture the requirements from the customer's perspective by defining goals and interactions at a level removed from the implementation details.

The requirement document may be expressed in a formal language based on mathematical logic. Traditionally, the requirement document is written in English or another written language.

The requirement document does not specify the architectural or implementation details, but specifies information at the higher level of description. The problem statement, the customer's expectations, and the criteria for success are examples of high-level descriptions. There is a fuzzy line between high-level descriptions and low-level details. Sometimes, if an exact engineering detail needs to be specified, this detail will also appear in the requirement document. This is the exception and should not be the rule. These exceptions occur for many reasons including maintaining the consistency with other established systems, availability of particular options, customer's demands, and to establi
