NETWORK OPERATING CENTER The purpose of this NOC describes the process for fault management, escalation and follow up for resolution in case any problem is faced in any of the delivered link. Videocon Telecommunications Ltd has hired the STM1/DS3/E1 bandwidths from various media service providers to build the Access/Backhaul/NLD and POI network. Subsequent to delivery and acceptance of the media, it comes into operational phase and the SLAs are applicable for uptime of the network . STATIONS OF NOC: • REPORTS STATION • BSS STATION • INFRA STATION • NSS CORE STATION Huawei’s iManager M2000 provides operators with a centralized, easy-to-use, and highly efficient mobile network O&M platform that supports long-term network evolution and convergent network technologies. Its focus on “Intelligent O&M” enhances overall network quality in the management of mobile network elements (NE) like WRAN, GBSS, Single RAN, core network, LTE/EPC, NGN, STP, IMS, and other transmission equipment. The future-proof, unified network O&M platform also provides network quality improvements via network management functions for configurations, performance, security, daily reports, and systems administration. In report section I-Manager M2000 software is used to take the dumps.Reports are made by collecting data from different circles i.e. Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Mumbai, and MP etc . I-Manager 2000 software having 2 versions R8 and R9. R8: R8 is used to make reports of BSS (Base station subsystem). It includes 4 circles: MP, Punjab, Gujarat, and Haryana. It consists of 8 loose,10 dashboard,8 extra reports . R9: R9is used to make reports of NSS (Network station subsystem). It includes 2 circles : Mohali NSS and Pune NSS. It consists of 10 loose,12 dashboard,10 extra reports. Core station is the most high priority station in NOC Dept. It relates to the monitoring of alarms from the following sources: • HLR-Home Location Register • MGW -Media Gateway • STP-Signaling Transfer Point • VLR-Visitor Location Register • MSS-Mobile Services Switching Centre • IN-Intelligent Network There are 3 types of alarms in Infra section. They are categorized as per their severity: • Critical alarms • Major alarms • Minor alarms IN BSS section following Alarms are Monitored • LAPD OML Fault • NSE Faulty • MTP3 Link Set Failure • VSWR Prompt Alarm • Cell out of Service ·
