Abstract:



Nowadays every application needs to be user friendly and platform independent. To maintain student information a similar application is required, so the following web based application aims to provide different features.
Students Data Management:
This provides an admin to login into the application and lets him to add and delete student records after validating his credentials.
Technologies to be Used:
Database : Derby
Programming Language: Java, J2EE
Other technologies: AJAX, CSS, JSP
Server: JBoss


Introduction:


College Student Admin Application is the primary system for operating the student’s data. It is aimed to improve efficiency & accuracy by storing the data Online thus reducing paper work. The main feature of our project is ,
Student Data Management:
This provides an admin to login into the application and lets him to add and delete student records after validating his credentials.



Existing System


The existing system consists of manually maintaining the records of the Students, Students Details, Attendance Details, Internal Marks etc. The parents wont be able to access their wards status by being in Home or Offices, away from school.

Proposed system:


This project is aimed at how the College can improve the efficiency of the services. College Student Admin Application is one of the application to improve the information of any particular student. This application involves almost all the features of the information system; the future implementation will be online help for the users to obtain information.



Advantages of proposed system:


To increase data accuracy, make student information management more secure, effective, convenient and accessible.
Handling the Student details.
Maintaining the Student Marks Details.
Handling Student Attendance Records.
Maintaining records of absences and attendance.
Maintaining records of Internal marks.


Conclusion:


It is always prudent to opt for a student information system that is designed using modern system architecture to cope with changing requirements. This system should encompass very solid information coding and distinctly outlined business applications, separating the presentation of details and methods of support.
The future enhancements may keep track of all the eligible students for part-time placement services to supplement educational expenses. The institutional payroll department identifies the positions available within the university and encourages students to apply for them. Similarly, while arranging placement services for final-year students, the available comprehensive details in the student record systems are sent to prospective employers who offer campus placement services.
The availability of a computerized student information system offers a perceptivity that provides for practical education involvement and new levels of attainment.
