Abstracts: Windsor machines Ltd. is plastic processing machinery manufacturer and exporter. It works on several huge units such as extrusion, injection moulding, drip tubing. Extrusion unit consists of twin screw with a production rate of two and a half months per screw. Twin screw extruders come with various screw diameters, configurations and horsepower capabilities. It is used for compounding, when special colors or different properties need to be added to the plastic materials. This type of plastic extrusion machinery allows the mixing of different materials in order to create a certain color or property of the plastics. Twin screw extruders have a broad range of applications across any industry that deals with plastics. Lead time for manufacturing of a twin screw is much more than it can be manufactured which ultimately reduces the production rate. There are several processes observation and analysis are to improve production rate of twin screw. Observation on theoretical as well as practical processes and focused on improvement on tooling. The objective of our project is reducing the lead time of manufacturing of a twin screw.
