Abstracts: Institute of Seismological Research, Department of Science and Technology performs research and makes observations that provide the scientific basis for earthquake hazard reduction and emergency response. Through both basic and applied research, ISR works with its sponsors and partners to provide a rational basis for policies and practices that reduce the risk from earthquakes and other natural disasters, for the State, the Nation, and the world’s neediest citizens.
