Abstracts: It is the organobromine compound with the chemical formula (CH2Br)2. Although trace amounts occur naturally in the ocean, where it is formed probably by algae and kelp, it is mainly synthetic. It is a colourless liquid with a sweet odour. They are used in commercial scale as bulk drugs and intermediates, aromatics and perfumery, pesticides, dyes and dyes intermediates, paint and plastics, aromatics and perfumery, acrylic sheets and acrylic resins, fine chemicals. The main aim of this project is to study the production process, process parameters and perform R&D at premises to improve the yield and take it up to 80% of conversion. Main purpose is to increase an yield of EDBR at make it close to that theoretical value. With the help of attained results we are able to get maximum yield of the product. Mainly produced by Ethylene gas, is colourless gas with a Faint smell and Highly Flammable. It is not available directly so we produce it by using substitute as MONO ETHYLENE GLYCOL. The project report also contains designing, cost estimation, Health and Safety aspects, Environmental Standards & regulation. In humans, it causes severe burning of skin and irritation of the eyes and respiratory tract. Prolonged inhalation may cause liver necrosis. It is also used in gasoline.
