JOB EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Desk Engineer (Operation) of power plant, following responsibilities:
• Handling the shift operation activities of Boiler & Turbine and the associated auxiliaries through DCS.
• Normal Plant Operation & maintenance, Boiler light up & shut down in sequence & Cold start up, Warm start up and hot startup of turbine rolling.
• Charged auxiliaries like Condenser, Ejector, Feed Water Heater, Deaerator, BFP, CEP, etc.
• Optimization of process parameters like Steam Temperature, Water Level Controls, Furnace Temperature, Pressure.
• Calculating SSC, Heat Rate & Efficiency of boiler & turbine.
• Handling Various Emergencies of Boiler & Turbine.
• Saved the auxiliary power consumption and maintained Unit Shut-Down, Troubleshooting & handled the various emergency conditions & Unit Is-land operation.
• Regulate power generation as per requirement & control load distribution as per economics.
• Minimizing shutdown time & attending in shut down maintenance job.
• Maintaining & reviewing the shift log sheet, and discuss with operation manager if any abnormality observed in parameter.
• Proper communication with field operator to visit the equipment for smooth running.
• Ensure check-up of drives as per schedule & make available each drives for preventative maintenance (Turbine and its auxiliary, Boiler and its auxiliary).
• Administered the Bituminous related operations in Imported and Indian coal.
• Ensure CHP and AHP is running properly.
• Posting Generation consumption of Fuel, BOM, DM Water, Steam and Power in SAP.
As a Commissioning Engineer of power plant have responsibility to involved activities like:
• Hydraulic test of Boiler, Alkali Boil out, Steam Blowing, Vacuum Pulling, Turbine Rolling, DP Test, Air leak test
• Technical specification, Ensuring of boiler, turbine piping and instrument as per P & ID's
• Commissioning of Boiler & Turbine through field & DCS so to get successfully commissioning of plant.
• Attending field operations during emergencies
• Maintained Protocols for each activity.
• Synchronized the turbine rolling to grid.
ACHIEVEMENTS
• Saved the unit from tripping due to any external reason (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument).
• Took the lead role in performing activities during abnormal condition.
