INTRODUCTION

Health monitoring systems become a very important topic and an
important research field today and developed for many applications such as military, homecare unit, hospital, sports training and emergency
monitoring system.


The vital parameters in health monitoring system consists of blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, body temperature and respiratory rate to find the present health status of the patient.


Now the data are collected using special type of processors example ARM7(LPC2148) and sensors after which these processed data are transmitted and displayed on doctors or relatives android mobile phones and on the personal computers using wireless sensor networks (WSN) or wireless personal area network (WPAN) namely Bluetooth and ZigBee.


Abstract:


Patient monitoring systems are gaining their importance and demanding mainly because it is difficult for the elderly population to take care fast.

These systems use wireless technologies to transmit vital signs for medical evaluation.

The aim of the project is to provide a better health care to people from house in more economic and pertinent friendly manner.

But here our focus will be particularly on Biomedical sensors measuring Body Temperature, Pulse Rate Counter and oximete


METHODOLOGY

Patient Monitoring System

Design and Implementation of Real Time Embedded Tele-Health Monitoring System is utilizing Team viewer software and low cost component to transmit ECG data for
monitoring, diagnosis and patients care at a significantly low cost.

The physiological parameters such as ECG, Pulse rate and Temperature are obtained and is being processed using ARM7 LPC 2148 controller and is displayed in a MATLAB graphical user interface and if any critical nature is found i.e. anything beyond the normal range then alert SMS will be sent to Doctors computer.

Microcontroller Based Health Care Monitoring System Uses Sensor based Network for measuring the Blood Pressure reading, Heart beat rate or body temperature etc. The whole system is controlled by microcontroller ATMEGA8L


Data Transmission Scheme
Data is to be transmitted to remote location as per our requirement which involves various ways of communication technologies such as ZIG-BEE, BLUETOOTH, GSM, and GPRS.



CONCLUSION


This system reduce costs by enabling in home monitoring of patients and eliminating the need for utilization of expensive facilities, and also reducing the need for transportation of patients to physicians and Medical centres specially for the aged people who will be specially benefited by this system.
