Abstracts: Gujarat State is well suited for both solar thermal and solar photovoltaic programmers. The daily average solar energy incidence varies from 4 to 7 kWh/m², and in general there are 275 to 325 days of sunshine per year in most parts of the country. Solar energy can be utilized for at least 275 days a year. Draying is an important process in agriculture to avoid losses of product during harvesting, storage and processing stage. We have based our project on removing moisture from various agricultural products such as wheat, grapes, corns etc. so that these seasonal products can be maintained in its most natural form throughout the year. Here, we are removing some percent of moisture so that grains can be preserving for a longer period. This method of food preservation can provide healthy food to society as it removes only water from the products. In addition the solar dryer saves time of drying.
