Abstracts: Shape of any building is one of the most important factors which affect the building during the earthquake. So shape of any structure should be designed very carefully while designing any earthquake resistance structure. In this project we are going to analyse two different shapes of buildings with same area using the computer software. For this we will be using software STAAD Pro.(2007).The analysis of the buildings will be based on design and strength criteria. Here one building is Square and the other one is Rectangular with same area. Both buildings contain G+5 storeys and each storey has height of 3m. After the analysis of buildings we will get the results in the form of B.M Diagram, S.F Diagram and Reactions at Supports. On the basis of this result we are going to compare both buildings. After comparison we will conclude that which building will be more stable during earthquake
