Abstracts: Nowadays, the electricity demand has been rising thereby increasing the use of fossil fuels and nuclear energy.Solar radiation as a sustainable energy resource is one of the most available forms of energy on the earth surface which could reduce the fossil fuel consumption and CO2 emission to the atmosphere. The objective of this project is to design a solar collector, which is capable to collect required heats for the generator of aqua-ammonia vapour absorption system. This project work deals with finding required heat for an aqua-ammonia (H2O-NH3) absorption system with a capacity of 1TR. The idea of incorporating a heat exchanger in the system between generator and absorber is considered. It shows improvement of the overall system performance by reducing the amount of heat required in generator to produce refrigerant in vapour form.
