Abstracts: Optimization of tool life and total cost using various approaches like DOE(Design Of Experiments),ANOVA and REGRESSION analysis. All this analysis is done in MINITAB software. The input parameters are taken as cutting speed, feed and depth of cut while the response are tool life and total cost. The experimental results display that the cutting speed and depth of cut are the significant parameters that influence the tool life. After optimizing of tool life and total cost from software perform experiment on vmc milling machine by Taking AISI-304 stainless steel as a workpiece and solid carbide flat end mill cutter as a tool. After that comparison is carried out between software value and experimental value.
