Abstracts: As a part of final year project we are doing IDP project at ANUPAM INDUSTRIES UNIT 6.UNIT 6 is manufacturing level luffing crane, where for the fabrication of different components welding processes are used. During fabrication of different parts of level luffing crane via welding process, many defects has been detected due to some undefined problems. Thus some Non-destructive testing carried out to identify the type of defect. Presently as a part of remedies to overcome the defects rewelding, grinding etc. being done this is increasing the allocated scheduled time and further increasing the cost. To properly operate the welding process within the given ranges of parameters during fabrication so as to reduce the effect of factors causing the defects.
