Abstracts: Submersible pump is mostly used in agriculture field for pumping purpose. Thrust bearing is very important part of submersible pump. In another word we can say that thrust bearing is the heart of the submersible pump. If thrust bearing is fail, then pump is useless. There are many reasons for failure of thrust bearing like misalignment, wear and tear, overloading, improper assembly, bearing metal selection, improper lubrication, poor surface finish of rotor, defects in manufacturing of bearing, high temperature, and friction.
