Abstracts: Solar still is very simple device to convert available saline water into drinkable water by use of solar energy. In country like India, single solar still is used. If hemispherical solar still is made in climate condition of India then due to its hemispherical cover, it can take radiation from radiation from any side and distillate output of water will increase more than single slope solar still. Numerous inventions have done to increase the productivity of solar still. There are main two type of solar still called passive solar still and active solar still. If hemispherical dome is provided at top side to prevent the heat losses at top. So due to the hemispherical glass cover, it can take solar radiation at all sides as well as productivity is improved. To see the above phenomena a new solar still is made called “Hemispherical Solar Still”
