Abstracts: Auto Service Center provided servicing for all types of vehicles after giving prior appointments to the owners. Customers who need to get their vehicles serviced take an appointment from the service center and submit their vehicle for servicing. The service department then evaluates the vehicle and finds out all flaws in it and prepares a job card describing all the modifications/replacements that need to be done for the vehicle. An estimate of cost is prepared and customer is intimated about the same before starting the actual work. This job card is then circulated among the workmen who make corresponding changes and finally the card gets filled up and authorized to be delivered back to the customer. The customer is then called up to collect his vehicle from the station along the total invoice of service. We are developing an integrated application to automate this entire business process starting from the customer submitting a new service request right up to the completion of service and feedback from customer. Our application will provide an interface for the customers to make online requests/queries for appointment. These appointments will be managed by our system automatically without any manual interaction or approval. Once the appointment is generated, the customer will be given timely notifications for reminder of the request. After the vehicle is submitted for servicing, an online job card is generated by the system, and the service employee will add items into the job card as per the need after preliminary inspection. This job card with a cost estimate is forwarded to the customer support department where they take the customer’s approval on the cost before starting the service. The job card is then approved and servicing of vehicle starts. Once completed, the customer is then notified from the system to collect his vehicle. The final cost is paid by the customer and service status is then changed to be completed. This entire life cycle of servicing in an auto-service center will be managed by our application. We will also develop a small mobile application which will be fully integrated with the web application. Regular Customers can download and install mobile application to get urgent alerts/notifications and for on the fly access to their appointments.
