Abstracts: hydaulic brick press machine is wideley used in industries for macking fly ash bricks. in this machine we observe failure of piston rod. to find solution of failure of piston rod we first focus on working parameters and try to see actual working condition. even though operating parameters were within control limits but failure of piston observed. we calculate the stress induce in piston using classical stress equation that we studied in machine design subject. later we try to simulate failure of piston using solid works simulation software. based on result of simulation we increase the dimension of piston rod and again very the failure using solid works simulation. we also suggest for better filling in mold of machine.
